SEIU Union Endorses Congressman Sires For Re-Election

In his bid for another term in the United States House of Representatives, Congressman Albio Sires (D – District 8) has received another endorsement, this one from the SEIU.

The Congressman’s office released the following press release this afternoon:

SEIU 32BJ Endorses Sires for Congress 

WEST NEW YORK, NJ — The Service Employees International Union (SEIU), Local 32BJ is joining a growing list of progressive labor unions endorsing Congressman Albio Sires (D-Hudson). Kevin Brown, Vice President and NJ State Director, SEIU 32BJ, released the following statement:

“Our 32BJ members are proud to endorse Rep. Albio Sires so he can continue serving New Jersey’s working families in Washington, DC. He understands that our essential workers deserve essential pay and protection on the job, and has supported the HEROES Act, co-sponsored legislation to raise the federal minimum wage, and supported several bills that defend the rights of immigrants. At a time that the White House has dropped any notion of leading to help the people, we need fighters like Sires working for us in the nation’s capital.”
