Jersey City police are investigating a robbery of a 16-year-old male on Tuesday evening just after 4:30 p.m.

The teen told police he was walking home after taking the bus when he was approached by two men.  One of the men told the teen he had a gun, though never showed any weapon.  He then went through the teen’s book bag before ordering the teen to bring him to his house on Van Houten.  There, the men took several electronic items including an Xbox, an apple computer, a printer, a laptop, as well as a pocketbook and several watches.

The Department’s Major Case Unit is handling the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call 201-547-JAIL.

  1. This is why you teach your kids how to use guns and hammer them on weapons safety. In the south, kids kill intruders (not that it should ever get to this), but this kid is scarred for life and his family lost assets. He is lucky to be alive.
