TENAFLY, NJ RESIDENT ARRESTED ON CHARGES OF CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE MATERIAL POSSESSION

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella has announced the arrest of Jeffrey D. Grossman from 71 Downey Drive, Tenafly, NJ, on charges related to the possession of child sexual abuse material. This arrest stems from an investigation led by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, under the guidance of Chief Jason Love.

On October 12, 2023, the Cyber Crimes Unit of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office carried out a search warrant at the residence of Jeffrey D. Grossman. This was part of an ongoing Internet investigation into child sexual abuse material. The probe unveiled that Grossman had allegedly used the Internet to view, download, and store explicit content featuring underage children.

Following the investigation’s findings, Grossman was taken into custody in Tenafly, NJ, on the same day. He now faces a second-degree charge for possession of child pornography. After his arrest, he was placed in the Bergen County Jail, awaiting his preliminary hearing in the Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.

Prosecutor Musella emphasizes that the current charges are merely accusations. Every individual is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The efforts of the Tenafly Police Department, Hasbrouck Heights Police Department, and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office, all integral to the Bergen County Cyber Crimes Task Force, are acknowledged and appreciated.
