Hundreds of people filled the Lincoln Harbor Food Court for the annual taste of Weehawken. Attendees got the choice of a wide variety of amazing items to sample including food, desserts, wine and spirits.
The event had its biggest turn out yet, with around 30 vendors, and the food court packed from wall to wall. People were excited to try all the different delicious options, but were equally thrilled that all proceeds go to the public library.
“This is the most we’ve ever had. I’m so thrilled, I really am,” said Leona Nersessian, president of the Weehawken Library Board of Trustees.
According to Mayor Turner, he expects the event to raise about 19,000 dollars for the public library. The money is used for the library to put on special programs.
