Donald Trump’s new executive order imposing vetting of refugees and visa holders from certain countries might be only the first step in a total reset not only of how America secures its borders, but the very meaning behind those borders.
Meanwhile, has anyone thought about why all these refugees are trying to get into the United States?
That maybe it’s because they can’t get into most other countries, and wouldn’t want to go to most of the counties that would take them.
That maybe America has been the Land of Opportunity, because we are one of the few countries that doesn’t base citizenship on ancestry, and that holds a path to citizenship open for newcomers that is very rare in the rest of the world.
