Two brothers arrested carrying a gun moments after a man was grazed on his ankle

According to Jersey City Officials, Police are investigating an incident in which a 30-year-old Lexington Avenue man was grazed on his ankle just after midnight on Bergen and Lexington Avenues.

The victim, left the scene in a private vehicle, was treated and released at the Jersey City Medical Center. Police said that the victim was uncooperative.

Moments after the shots fired call, police saw a black Audi fleeing the area at a high rate of speed and stopped the vehicle on Jewett near Monticello Avenue.  Police recovered a loaded .40 caliber handgun from the vehicle and arrested the driver and occupant of the vehicle.

John Infante, 22, of Jewett Avenue, was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, and certain persons to not have a weapon. Jeyson Infante, 18, was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, and multiple CDS possession charges.

The investigation is ongoing.
