UCBOE Unveils New Administration at Emerson Middle School

There’s new leadership at the Emerson Middle School in Union City, after the Board of Education assigned a new principal and two, new vice principals over the summer.

Former Union City High School Vice Principal Raymond Coccioli, who ran the Mathematics Department, was appointed the new Principal at Emerson over the summer.

              He is joined by two, new Vice Principals, both of whom have extensive experience.  Edernis Bermudez-Garcia, previously the Vice Principal at Union Hill Middle School uptown, and Robert Pinzon, formerly Vice Principal at the Gilmore School.

Parents will get the opportunity to meet with their children’s teachers and the new administration when Back To School Night takes place on October 10th.

Emerson Middle School, which houses grades six, seven and eight for students living in the downtown portion of Union City, has an enrollment of approximately 1,000 students.
