UNION CITY – Mayor Brian P. Stack, along with the Board of Commissioners, has announced a special event to mark the 22nd anniversary of the September 11th attacks. The City of Union City invites the community to join them in a “Patriot’s Day Ceremony of Remembrance” to honor the lives lost on that fateful day.

The ceremony is scheduled for Monday, September 11, 2023, at 6:00 PM. It will be held at Liberty Plaza, located on 30th Street between New York and Palisade Avenues. This significant location is directly across the street from the Main Post Office.

The event aims to ensure that the memories of those who perished on 9/11/01 remain alive in the hearts of the community. The city officials emphasize the importance of coming together to remember and to declare, “We Will Never Forget.”

All are encouraged to attend and pay their respects.
