Union City Mayor Brian Stack and the Board of Commissioners have begun a program to help city residents access various services.   The new ID Card program will assist residents with bank accounts, health care, access to services in public and government buildings, among other things.  Sometimes these services can be very difficult to obtain without the appropriate identification.

Applications for the Municipal ID Cards are available in both English and Spanish.

The Municipal IDs are available to residents ages 14 and older.

Union City residents can obtain identification by showing proof of address and ID at the Union City Clerk’s Office in City Hall (Monday to Thursday  from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m./ Friday 9:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m.)

The identification cards, which are free, are available to all residents regardless of their immigration status.

The identification card will include your name, address, date of birth, photograph, signature, issue date, and expiration date.

Union City warns residents that if any fraud is committed when obtaining the ID Card, a fine will be imposed totaling more than $1,000, 90 days in prison or community service.
