Once again the Union City Board of Education’s Office of Community Relations will be conducting a winter coat drive for students within their school district.
The UCBOE is asking the community to open their hearts by donating a new or gently used coat so students, whose families may not be able to afford a warm coat for their children, can stay warm this winter. Wearing a new coat can also help a students’ self esteem.
Beginning on December 2, coats may be dropped off in the donation boxes located in the main entrance lobby of each school in the district. The coat drive will continue through Jamuary 10. The school system is also collecting scarves, socks, gloves, hats and sweaters.
All donations are greatly appreciated by the Union City Board of Education.
