Amid 90+ degree temperatures, Union City celebrated 100 years with a Centennial Festival along Palisade Avenue on Tuesday night.
Several hundred residents turned out, listening to music, enjoying amusement rides, bouncy houses, hot dogs, popcorn and cotton candy. All free of charge thanks to Mayor Brian Stack and the Board of Commissioners.

Incorporated in 1925, Union City has become a cit of immigrants. Different nationalities coming together to live, work and prosper so the community thrives.
During the festival it was announced that the highlight event will take place on Sunday, September 28th…the Centennial Parade along Bergenline Avenue, starting at 49th Street and marching south to Washington County Park.

Throughout Tuesday night’s event, officials spoke of the importance of the residential community which makes Union City the municipality it is. A great place to live and raise a family.
