Several hundred Union City senior citizens were treated to a Hispanic Heritage Month luncheon at the Colin Powell School on Saturday featuring music, dancing and a delicious hot meal.

Approximately 300 senior citizens attended the event, which was sponsored by Mayor Brian Stack and the Board of Commissioners.

As with other Union City community events, members of the Junior ROTC program at Union City High School were on hand to serve the meals to the senior citizens.

On Sunday afternoon, Union City will hold a Hispanic Heritage Month Festival from 12-noon until 7 pm along 48th Street.
