Folkloric music, plantains, sausage and beans, accompanied by traditional attire and handmade crafts, referred to as “ artesanías” in Latin American countries, make up some of the key ingredients of an amazing Colombian festival.
Residents in Union City and the surrounding cities today enjoyed a sampling of Colombian pride, food and music, during the Colombian cultural festival that took place on 45th Street between Palisade and New York Avenues in Union City.
“I’m proud to be Colombian and excited to be sharing my heritage today” said Alicia Reyes, Union City resident. “I was born in a beautiful country known for its emeralds and tropical landscapes.”
