On a cold evening, students sang holiday songs and Union City lit its municipal Christmas tree in Washington County Park on Wednesday night.
The students were from the Jose Marti STEM Academy’s choir and band. They played holiday favorites for the gathered crowd, which totaled approximately 50 people.

Union City Commissioner Maryury Martinetti was on hand representing Mayor Brian Stack and her fellow Commissioners. Santa Claus arrived to the delight of the children. Photos were taken with the jolly guy and hot cocoa was available to warm everyone up.

The students will be performing at various holiday events around the Union City throughout the holiday season.
