November 20 marked the first annual Robot Day at Union City High School’s Academy for Enrichment and Advancement, where students shared their passion and skills for designing robots.

“Having this day to bring awareness to how important robots are in our daily lives and how much they really do for everyone is great,” said Davian Albarran, a student at Union City High School Academy for Enrichment and Advancement.

The event brought educators and members of the community, including the North Hudson Regional Fire and Rescue Department, the Jersey City Bomb Squad, Picatinny Arsenal, Bloomfield College and Cimquest, together to discuss technology and the role it can play in students’ lives.

Hudson TV’s Mabel Aragon brought us a behind the scenes look at today’s event.
