Jersey City officials have announced that West Side Avenue, which suffered a road collapse on Saturday at the intersection of Duncan Avenue, will re-close to traffic following Monday morning’s rush hour.
The road, which was shut down to traffic in the southbound direction, re-opened late on Saturday night, but will close for repair work tomorrow morning.
Motorists are advised to plan an alternate route if traveling in the area on Monday morning. No word on how long the road repairs will take or what caused the initial collapse.
