Former President Donald Trump recently addressed concerns regarding potential Covid-19 measures, suggesting that the “left-wing lunatics” might be using the threat of new Covid-19 variants as a political tool in the lead-up to the 2024 election.

In his statement, Trump said, “The left-wing lunatics are trying to bring back Covid lockdowns and mandates with all of their sudden fearmongering about the new variants that are coming.” He further insinuated that the renewed focus on Covid-19 might be tied to the upcoming election, stating, “They want to restart the Covid hysteria so they can justify more lockdowns, more censorship, more illegal dropboxes, more mail-in ballots, and trillions of dollars in payoffs to their political allies heading into the 2024 election.”
Trump was critical of those pushing for renewed Covid measures, referring to them as “bad people” and “Covid tyrants.” He emphasized his stance against such measures, declaring, “We will not comply,” and added that there would be no acceptance of lockdowns, mask mandates, or vaccine mandates.
The former president also reiterated his claims regarding the 2020 election, suggesting it was “rigged” and expressed concerns about the 2024 election being manipulated in a similar manner. He concluded by stating that if he returns to the White House, he would oppose any institution imposing mask or vaccine mandates by cutting their federal funding.
