It began in 1991 and has steadly grown. The annual Weehawken Day Festival attracted thousands of township residents to Waterfront Park on Saturday for an afternoon of family entertainment.
There were all sorts of attractions to enjoy. Bouncy houses, rides, a mechanical bull, rock climbing, pumpkin picking, face painting, music, food and a train ride around the park. Many local vendors were on hand providing information on their services.

According to Mayor Richard Turner and the Township Council, the event brings the municipality together at the end of summer and gives Weehawken a small town feeling.

Upwards of 5,000 residents attended Saturday’s festival. The weather could not have been more perfect. There were smiles everywhere you looked.
Anticipation was already growing for the 2026 Weehawken Day Festival as the afternoon hours passed. The event certainly gave Weehawken that small town feeling.
