Saturday morning, Louisa Park was full of children playing, taking photos with Easter characters, and of course hunting for Easter eggs!
Around 400 children were broken up into groups based on age, and sent into a section of the park to search for eggs. They then traded in their eggs for big chocolate bunnies.
“It’s a great turnout, it’s a great day, you know it’s our annual Easter egg hunt, but it’s also the beginning of spring; and we really have a beautiful spring day,” said Mayor Richard Turner.
Students from Weehawken High School also volunteered to help make this day such a success. Parents and children alike had a great time at the event.
