Weehawken Goes “Trunk or Treating” on the Waterfront

On Sunday, October 28th, The Weehawken Recreation Dept. hosted their annual “Trunk or Treat” Halloween celebration on the Waterfront.

Several departments and organizations participated in the fun by decorating the back of their vehicles to pass out candy to the children from the trunks. The purpose of the event is to provide a safe family environment for trick or treaters.

Some departments went all out on the decorations, like the Board of Education did with their “Game of Thrones” theme.

Many families in the community came together to celebrate the holiday and showed their Halloween spirit by dressing up in costumes.

The event was a great success despite having to reschedule due to the inclement weather the previous day.
