The Weehawken Recreation Department has added a pitching clinic to its summer, softball instructional program. The four session clinic is being attended by approximately 10 girls who have shown a strong interest in learning the skills of pitching.
The clinic is being run by Weehawken High School, varsity softball coach Raquel Roder.

By adding a pitching-specific camp, the hope is, as the campers get older, they’ll be prepared to join the High School team and have a leg up on their competition.

The High School squad is a three-time, defending Hudson County Champion. It has also reached the NJSIAA Sectional Championship game several times.

The Recreation Department’s softball and pitching-specific clinics will surely set the varsity squad up for continued success in the future.
