“It’s so much fun ‘cause there’s a magic show and Santa’s coming,” says Jolina, 9. She couldn’t wait to see both of them.
Hundreds of smiling faces… what a way to kick off the holiday season.
According to Mayor Richard Turner, “Best part is watching all the children come and see Santa Claus,” he says.
“The more kids the more fun, right,” Magician Mark says.
“Of course I’ll do some holiday magic,” Mark says. The mayor added, “He’s part of our holiday show – and so we both want to wish everybody a Happy Hanukkah, a Merry Christmas, a Happy Kwanza and a very healthy and prosperous 2015.”
“Get to sit on Santa’s lap and tell him what I want for Christmas — I love that,” 10-year-old Rose says.
It’s about the spirit and all that cheer.
“You get presents and you get to gather with your friends and sometimes your family,” says nine-year-old Damaris.
Little Addison was looking forward to this all week…
“She loves Frosty the Snowman. She loves Santa, but Frosty is her favorite – and Frosty’s right there, so she’s really excited,” says Ivan Schlachter, of his 2-year-old daughter. “And you don’t have to wait on crazy lines at the mall; this is so nice… Weehawken really does it.”
Rose and Damaris sum it up for everybody.
