West New York Kids get free haircuts before school year

West New York Kids get free haircuts before school year. On Wednesday September 3rd Children from West New York were able to come to The Cutting Edge Barber Shop for a free haircut and a bag of school supplies. Tickets were distributed to families in order to make their transition into the academic year a little easier. This event was organized by the West New York Board of Education Candidates Damarys Gonzalez, Steven Rodas, Adam Parkinson and Denisse Mejia together with Mayor Felix Roque.

  1. This is awesome, a simple hair cut as act of kindness goes a long way, blessings to you all 🙂

  3. Nice event, but the credit goes to the barbers who thought of it and foot the bill, not to the mayor and his Board of Ed candidates.

How tacky and typical of Roque to promote his Board of Ed candidates in this way, as if they had anything to do with the free haircuts. They didn’t. I guess we’ll see more of the same when they give away the free school supplies, as if any of Roque’s candidates dug into their pockets for that. Just cheap publicity.

Just shows that it’s the administration, or someone very close to it, who controls Hudson County TV. This is no longer a worthwhile or trustworthy news source.

Don’t be fooled into voting for these candidates, people of WNY. If the mayor supports them, they will do his bidding on the Bd of Ed. Some of them already do.

  4. Wow, Roque and his candidates got more air time than the barbers who thought of the idea and donated their time and services. How sleazy can you get!!! Roque is “giving back to the community”??? Yeah, that’ll be the day.
Roque does nothing but TAKE from the community. Don’t forget that people.
