Senior citizens in West New York enjoyed Saturday’s Viva la Vida show in the courtyard of Parkview Towers. Sponsored by the Sires Administration, the event encouraged seniors to live life to the fullest.
The seniors enjoyed musical performances by nine different bands and singers.
The annual event was first started during Mayor Albio Sires’ first stint as Mayor, prior to his becoming a Congressman. According to Commissioner Victor Barrera, it’s important for seniors to live life, enjoy experiences and stay active, especially now that COVID has passed.
In addition to the musical entertainment, seniors were treated to a boxed lunch. And the Senior Affairs Office provided transportation to the four hour event for seniors living all around the municipality.
It was a wonderful afternoon for everyone who attended.
