Mayor Felix E. Roque, MD, the Board of Commissioners and Members of the Board of Education of West New York are hosting a memorial candle light vigil rendering our respects and condolences to those families and parents of the victims at Newtown, Connecticut.
As a nation, we have endured far too much pain; profound loss of life and more questions than answers about where we are headed as a society and as human beings. This tragedy has no boundaries and people all over the world have their hearts broken. We in West New York are deeply saddened by the senseless loss of life, especially, when the numbers of those lost include 20 small innocent children that were robbed of the opportunity to have a full life. Please gather at the Town Hall at 5 pm and join us for a moment of silence and prayer for the staff, children and family members of this terrible tragedy.
