A downtown, residential fire late on Monday afternoon has displaced dozens of individuals and reportedly ten families. The wind swept blaze reached four alarms, as North Hudson Regional Fire and Rescue battled the wood framed, multi-story fire at 1319 9th Street.
The fire began around 5 pm. It quickly spread to neighboring structures due to the winds Reportedly, there were no injuries. The Red Cross is assisting the displaced.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
