With the winter and holiday seasons upon us, the Town of West New York is collecting coats and toys for children in need. Donations may be dropped off in the Recreation Department, room 7, at Town Hall during normal business hours.
The coat drive will continue throughout the winter, while toys will be collected until December 18th, when they will be distributed to needy families in the community.

The Recreation Department is working with the school system to determine which families need the coats and the toys. The town did not hold a collection drive last year according to Deputy Director of Public Affairs for Recreation Tanya Rodriguez, but it was some thing Mayor Albio Sires wanted to bring back this year.
Any donations being made should not be wrapped, and in the case of toys, they should be in their original packaging. Coats should be new or gently used.

The Recreation Department office is open from 9 am until 5 pm, Monday through Friday. All donations are greatly appreciated.
