From housing assistance and legal advice, to help with ANCHOR applications and providing flu shots, the North Hudson Community Action Cotporation’s West New York HEAD Start location hosted an Hispanic Heritage Month Fair on Friday afternoon.
Upwards of 400 community residents attended the fair in the parking lot at 5800 Kennedy Boulevard. Approximately 15 vendors offering a variety of services were on hand to answer questions and provide information to the public, most of whom were parents of students attending the NHCAC’s HEAD Start program. Being Hispanic Heritage Month, services were available not only in English, but in Spanish.

Among the vendors on hand, in addition to the NHCAC’s outreach programs themselves, were Hudson County Community College, the Hudson County Schools of Technology, the office of Assemblyman Gabriel Rodriguez and several local attorney’s offices.

Friday afternoon’s fair was co-sponsored by West New York Mayor Albio Sires and the Board of Commissioners.
