West New York’s police unions are holding a first time charity golf invitational on Tuesday, July 29th. The fundraiser will raise money for the various causes supported by the unions, including cancer research and autism awareness.
Sponsored by PBA Local 361 and 361A, the golfing event is being held at the Galloping Hill Golf Club in Kenilworth, New Jersey, beginning with breakfast at 7 am.
The day will feature a luncheon, raffle, numerous golf contests, such as longest drive, closest to the pin and hole in one shots, plus an awards ceremony and a silent auction. So far 125 or so individuals have signed up to play or attend the activities.
In addition to raising money for the various charities, the golf invitational will help support officer-related needs.
