A 39 year old Gregory D. Moylan of Bayonne was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Handgun after a woman finds it and accidentally discharges the weapon, Bayonne Cops said in a Press Release.

Moylan was taken into custody at 1250 hours from the area of 30th Street and Kennedy Boulevard.
Moylan was identified as the individual who unlawfully stored a handgun inside of an apartment at 50 Kennedy Boulevard. On 01/13/2019, a resident of the apartment attempted to move the handgun to a different location in the apartment when she accidentally discharged the weapon. This caused one round to pierce the wall and enter an adjacent apartment. After an investigation, it was determined that Moylan was the individual who brought the handgun into the apartment and has been storing it there. Although the gun is not stolen, it was not registered to Moylan and, therefore, he possessed it unlawfully.

Nobody was injured from the accidental discharge on 01/13/2019.

He was remanded to the Hudson County Jail facility.
