Woman Driving with Open Beer Bottle Charged with DWI, Hoboken Police says

While pulled over in the area of 11th and Madison Street, ESU Officer James Barbro observed a vehicle traveling northbound at a high rate of speed. The operator of the vehicle then failed to stop at a stop sign located at 12th and Madison St. Officer Barbro pulled the vehicle over in the area of 15th and Jefferson Street.  When Officer Barbro approached the driver, he detected the odor of alcoholic beverage coming from the driver. Officer Barbro also observed an open bottle of beer “Corona” in the center console. Officer Domenick  Allegretta and Officer Matthew Isler respond as back up. Officer Allegretta performed a field sobriety test on Bacero. Bacero failed the field sobriety test and was placed under arrest for DWI. Bacero provided a breath sample and was found to be above the legal limit. Once the arrest process was complete she was released to a responsible party.

Charges: DWI, DWI School Zone, Reckless Driving, Open Alcoholic Container in MV

Arrest Date: Sunday, November 24, 2019, at 0510 hours
