Woman hit by car in West New York

A woman was hit by a car in West New York.

It happened about 2:40 Saturday afternoon.

According to sources, Olga Garcia was hit by a car on 50th and Bergenline Avenue.

The 73-year-old was walking behind the car just as a man was pulling into a parking space but he didn’t see her since she was in his blind spot.

Pablo Fonseca, spokesperson for the West New York Police Department says they are still investigating the incident and their prayers are with family and friends of the victim for a speedy recovery.

No charges have been filed against the driver.

Garcia is in stable condition at Jersey City Medical Center with a leg injury.

  2. For A Driver This Is A Constant Problem/Nightmare. People Crossing Every “Fuckin” Where But The Crosswalk/Corner Especially On B-Line.

  3. I hope she recovers…but Damn…It never fails.. Some people that walk on
    Bergenline always want to cross from behind your vehicle at the same time
    your backing up to park..Terrible!!
