Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced this morning that a juvenile has been arrested by the Homicide Unit and charged with last Friday’s fatal stabbing of an 18-year old male from Jersey City. The 16-year old male, also of Jersey City, was arrested on Wednesday, December 20.
The assailant is charged as a juvenile with stabbing Naseer Munroe to death on December 15 at approximately 8:55 pm at Duncan Avenue and Wilmont Street in Jersey City. Munroe died at approximately 10 pm at a local hospital from a stab wound to the torso.
The juvenile is charged with murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon. He was arrested at the Prosecutor’s Office in Secaucus.
THe charges are merely accusations and the juvenile is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
