A 19-year old man was attacked and robbed in Bayonne at approximately 10:48 on Friday night. According to Police Captain Eric Amato, the incident took place as the teenager was walking in the area of West 16th Street.
Amato says two, unidentified males approached the teen and began punching and kicking him in the head and on his body. The assault caused the teenager to fall to the ground. The attackers removed the victim’s cell phone and keys from his pocket and fled.
The victim was treated at the Jersey City Medical Center for injuries to his head, neck, face and body.
Bayonne police are continuing their investigation into last night’s assault.
