Residente de Bayona de 21 años arrestado por robo y drogas

21-year old Broadway resident Derek J. Richardson has been arrested by Bayonne Police on burglary and drug paraphernalia charges.  According to Captain Eric Amato, the Bayonne resident was taken into custody at 9:33 pm on Sunday evening in the area of 23rd Street and Kennedy Boulevard.

Amato says officers responded to a 25-year old male victim’s residence in the area of 24th Street and JFK Boulevard on a report of a burglary that had just occurred. The victim provided a description of the actor and advised the officers that the actor, later identified as Richardson, had fled south on Kennedy Boulevard.  According to the victim, after he refused to let Richardson into his apartment, Richardson kicked in the door and entered the apartment, but he fled when he realized that the victim was in the company of 2 male friends.

Richardson was located and placed into custody in the area of 23rd Street and Kennedy Boulevard.  A search incident to his arrest led to the recovery of narcotic paraphernalia. Richardson was also processed on 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City.
