Tuesday’s massive brawl in Jersey City involving approximately 100 people resulted in the arrests of five individuals, three adults and two juveniles.

Hudson TV was first to post a five minute viral video of the incident, which took place on 30 Bostwick Avenue, in the hours after midnight this morning.  The incident, which was akin to a riot, escalated after someone tried to grab a Jersey City police officer’s gun.

According to Jersey City spokesperson Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione, the three adults arrested are:

Roland Gregory, who is charged with obstruction, Dashawn Muhammed and Latia Gregory.  Muhammed and Gregory have both been charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, disorderly conduct, obstruction, resisting arrest and failure to disperse.

During a press conference this afternoon, Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop and Public Director James Shea said the police officers response to the brawl was appropriate and consistent with their training.  The incident is being investigated by the Jersey City Police Department’s Internal Affairs Unit as well as the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office.

  1. How can our Mayor, Mr Steven Fulop, go on record with that statement . He was not there, and he must didn’t see the same video we all saw. If that is the way Jersey City is training their police officers, there will definitely be more of these incidents,
