500 Kids Attend Weehawken’s Easter Egg Hunt

Approximately 300 to 400 families and 500 youngsters attended Saturday’s annual, Weehawken Easter Egg Hunt at Louisa Park along Boulevard Easter.  The tradition is a way to bring the township together, according to Mayor Richard Turner and members of the Municipal Council.

The children searched the playground area for the hidden Easter eggs and you could hear laughter from the parents and the the kids.  What joy they expressed when those eggs were found.  After filling their baskets with eggs, the kids took their goodie bags to the opposite end of the park where they received chocolate bunnies from Councilwoman Carmela Silvestri-Ehret and Councilman David Curtis.

Mayor Richard Turner acted as the MC for the event, while Hudson Tv spotted Councilman Robert Sosa wishing residents happy holidays.  All in all, it was a tremendous family activity for the community.

And you just know the kids are enjoying those bunnies.  Ah, the sugar rush!!!
