The Bayonne Police Department’s Drive Sober Or Get Pulled Over Campaign has resulted in six, separate arrests as of Tuesday with the arrestees charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
Police Chief Robert Geisler says the arrests are the result of targeted patrols by the Department’s enforcement detail since the campaign began.
Since December 1st, nine people overall have been charged with DWI.
Chief Geisler stated, “The safety of our residents is our focus. Our Officers remain diligent. If you drive impaired, you will face serious consequences.”
The Bayonne Police force will continue its efforts to eliminate DWI beyond this campaign and into the future.
