Approximately 600 supporters of former Congressman, Assembly Speaker and Mayor Albio Sires packed The Graycliff in Moonachie on Friday night for a “Sires Team For WNY” fundraiser ahead of the May 9th Commission election, in which Sires hopes to once again be elected and chosen Mayor, a position he held from 1995-2006 before spending 16 years in Congress. Hudson TV spoke with many of those people who attended the fundraiser, and asked, “Why is Albio Sires best suited to become Mayor of West New York again?”
But first, here’s Union City Mayor snd State Senator Brian Stack introducing the former Congressman:
“The Sires Team For WNY” includes Commissioner Victor Barrera, Board of Education President Adam Parkinson, Board of Education Trustee Marielka Diaz and Rent Control Advocate Marcos Arroyo.
Also hoping to be elected and chosen as the next Mayor of West New York are Commissioner Cosmo Cirillo, who is running with a full, Commission slate, and former, two-term Mayor, Dr. Felix Roque, who is currently running with a ticket featuring three Commission candidates. Roque is expected to name his final, Commission running mate shortly.
