Thanks to the courageous act of a good samaritan on Saturday afternoon, seven people were rescued from a burning and sinking yacht on the Hudson River. The boat was located off of West New York near Manhattan’s 72nd Street. The incident took place around 3:30 pm.
The United States Coast Guard is currently conducting an investigation to try and determine what caused the fire on the 48-foot long vessel.
No injuries were reported.
