As hospitals in the Hudson and Bergen County region continue to fill up with COVID-19 patients, the town of Secaucus is getting ready to open a “pop up” site to treat, non-coronavirus patients who are being displaced from those facilities.

A New Jersey Department of Health and FEMA-run, “pop up” hospital for non-coronavirus patients is expected to open at the Meadowlands Exposition Center on Monday, April 6th.

According to Secaucus Mayor Michael Gonnelli, as of last night, the town has 50 positive cases of patients with COVID-19.  There has been one coronavirus-related death in Secaucus so far.
