One New Jersey Man Says He’s Relieved to Have Contracted COVID-19

The number of COVID-19 cases in New Jersey were 135,454, with 8,952 fatalities as of May 8, 2020. In Hudson County, the total sum of positive COVID-19 cases are 16,520. However, Governor Phil Murphy reported that hospitalizations and ICU admissions have both continued to decease across the state. Yesterday, hospitalizations dropped to 4,996—below 5,000 for the first time in several weeks.
