The Township of North Bergen and its Police Department have announced that a new traffic pattern will be implemented this Thursday from 58th to 62nd Streets, west of Kennedy Boulevard. The changes are designed to improve traffic flow in the area.

On Thursday, May 14 a new traffic pattern will be implemented in in the area from 58th Street to 62nd Street, between Grand Avenue and Kennedy Blvd.
These new changes will improve traffic flow and traffic safety, and reduce accidents within this area.
Listed below are the new changes:
- Grand Avenue between Granton Avenue and 62nd Street will remain a two-way street and unchanged.
- 62nd Street between Grand Avenue and Meadowview Avenue will change from a two-way street to a one-way street going eastbound (from Grand Avenue to Meadowview Avenue).
- Meadowview Avenue between the North Bergen Recreation Center and 62nd Street will remain a two-way street.
- Meadowview Avenue between 62nd Street and 58th Street will change from a two-way street to a one-way street going southbound.
- 58th Street from Meadowview Avenue to Newkirk Avenue will change from a two-way street to a one-way street going eastbound.
- 58th Street from Kennedy Boulevard to Newkirk Avenue will change from a one-way going westbound to a two-way street, eastbound and westbound.
- Newkirk Avenue between 58th Street and 61st Street will change from a two-way street to a one-way going northbound, from 58th Street to 61st Street.
