27-Year-Old Anthony Alvarado of Bayonne Shot and Killed in area of East 49th St and Avenue E

HUDSON COUNTY PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE HOMICIDE UNIT INVESTIGATES SHOOTING DEATH OF BAYONNE MAN

Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez released the following information:

On Saturday, March 6, 2021, at approximately 11:15 p.m., the Bayonne Police Department received a report of shots fired in the area of East 49th Street and Avenue E in Bayonne. Upon arrival, responding Police Officers found a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim, later identified as Anthony Alvarado, age 27, of Bayonne, was transported by Emergency Medical Services to Jersey City Medical Center. He was pronounced dead at approximately 11:59 p.m. The cause and manner of death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.

The Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit is actively investigating this case with assistance from the Bayonne Police Department. No arrests have been made at this time.
