15-Year Old Bayonne Girl Spits On & Assaults Bayonne Police Officer

A 15 year old female juvenile was taken into custody on Friday at 7:02 pm from the area of 30^th Street and Broadway.  According to Captain Eric Amato, officers responded to the area on a report of a group fighting.  As officers attempted to investigate the incident, the juvenile spat on an officer’s face and arm. 

After being informed that she was being taken into custody for the assault, Amato says she resisted by attempting to kick and punch the officer.

The underage teenager has been charged with aggravated assault and resisting arrest.
