Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of Christian V. Giron (DOB: 7/03/1997; single; warehouse worker) of 21 Harriot Avenue, Harrington Park, New Jersey on charges of murder, weapon possession, and hindering his own apprehension. The arrest is the result of an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love, the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office under the direction of Sheriff Anthony Cureton, and the Northvale Police Department under the direction of Chief Howard Ostrow.

On Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at approximately 8:15 AM, the Northvale Police Department received a 911 call reporting an injured party located at 151 Ludlow Avenue, Northvale, New Jersey. Officers responded and located 43-year-old Jeanette A. Willem deceased from a head wound.

An investigation conducted by detectives from the Northvale Police Department and the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit revealed that CHRISTIAN V. GIRON murdered Jeanette A. Willem with a hammer.

On Wednesday, October 27, 2021, CHRISTIAN V. GIRON was arrested and charged with one count of first-degree murder, N.J.S.A. 2C:11-3a(1); one count of third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, N.J.S.A. 2C:39-4d; one count of third-degree hindering his own apprehension by concealing evidence, N.J.S.A. 2C:29-3b(1); and one count of fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, N.J.S.A. 2C:39-5d. He was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.

Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and he would like to thank the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office and the Northvale Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
