On Friday evening, a dedication ceremony was held for the Union City COVID-19 victims at Ellsworth Park. Community residents, students, officers & others came together in reflection of those who lost their lives in this rough pandemic. Hudson TV reporter Marcos Antelo was in attendance.
A beautiful memorial was put together in this peaceful park that lies directly in the center or heart of the community, thus placing a heart at the top of the stone. It was a first time dedication for Union City, with no clear sign yet of this being annual. Commissioner Lucio Fernandez played a large role in the concept for this idea.. The event began at 7pm with the heart of the town in attendance..
