Jersey City will hold a police swearing in ceremony this Wednesday afternoon.  With the additional 28, new officers taking their oaths mid-week, Mayor Steven Fulop will have surpassed his goal of having more than 950 total officers in the Department citywide.

More than 700 new police officers have been hired by the Fulop Administration, with 90% of the current class representing minority populations as a result of the administration’s diversity recruitment efforts.  The newest police academy graduates continues the Mayor’s commitment to grow the force and enhance public safety.

Wednesday’s swearing in ceremony will begin at 3 pm in the City Hall Council Chambers.
