The Hudson County Schools of Technology’s County Prep High School held its Senior Awards Ceremony on Tuesday. It kicked off with a breakfast for parents and ended with many of the graduates receiving academic and CTE awards and scholarships for college.
The big surprise of the morning was the presentation of an $80,000 United States Navy scholarship to Christopher Dhurpat who was completely surprised when his name was announced. Christopher will be a logistics specialist during his Navy enlistment, then plans on attending Rutgers University.
In all 36 scholarship were presented during the awards ceremony, but that doesn’t include all of the scholarships the students may have received from their colleges and universities of acceptance.
Congratulations to all 260 graduating seniors from the Class of 2022 at County Prep High School in Jersey City.
