Vehicle Stolen Out of Maryland Recovered in Bayonne

29-year old, Charles D. Smith of Landover, Maryland has been arrested by Bayonne Police.                                                                                                                              According to Police Captain Eric Amato, Smith was taken into custody at 7:45 am on Sunday morning in the area of 43rd Street and Avenue E after being found to be in possession of a vehicle reported stolen out of Maryland.

During the investigation, Smith provided false indentification information to the officers in an attempt to hinder his apprehension.  He was charged accordingly with receiving stolen property and hindering arrest.
